OUR COURSES
Our courses are suitable for students age 11+:
DRAWING SKILLS
(ARTISTIC)
Drawing skills are not just a nice bonus for designers, they are essential! When you can draw well, you can express your ideas more clearly and creatively. Drawing helps you to develop your visual literacy and communicate with your audience more effectively.
INTRODUCTION TO INTERIOR DESIGN
Learn how to design and think about planning spaces for people to live in. Explore the principles and elements of design, such as balance, harmony, contrast, and scale. Learn how to use different tools and techniques, such as sketches, floor plans, mood boards and more.
INTRODUCTION TO GAMING DESIGN
If you are curious about how to create your own games, this course is perfect for you. You will learn how to design characters, stories and environments that will make your games engaging and immersive.
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT
(11+ & 13+ ART SCHOLARSHIPS)
We help students prepare for the 11+ and 13+ art scholarships. Sessions include interview guidance, portfolio development and preparation for the drawing exam. We provide individual and group sessions.
TECHNICAL DRAWING SKILLS
Learn how to draw technical drawings that accurately represent your designs and communicate your vision. You will also learn the correct architectural symbols to use while drawing plans, section elevations and details.
INTRODUCTION TO LANDSCAPE DESIGN
Landscape architecture combines art, science and ecology. It is the art of designing the outside spaces between buildings. Learn how to plan spaces, think of textures and surfaces and how to take natural elements, like wind, into consideration.
INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN CAREERS
Explore different career paths in design during this 6 week course. Learn the basics of fashion, product, furniture, gaming, architecture and interior design. Work on 6 exciting and creative projects that will show you the different possibilities in the design world.
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT
(UNIVERSITY & JOB APPLICATIONS)
Stand out from the crowd with a portfolio that reflects your personality and goals. In our portfolio preparation course you will learn how to design and develop a portfolio that highlights your strengths and versatility. You will also learn how to create a personal brand and a website that showcases your work and tells your story.
INTRODUCTION TO ARCHITECTURE
Discover what it is like to be an architect. You will learn how to design, think and draw like an architect by completing architectural projects. Whether you are curious about architecture as a career, or just want to have fun with a new hobby, this course is for you.
INTRODUCTION TO SET DESIGN
Discover what it is like to be responsible for designing the scenery (the artificial environment) for stage and screen production. Learn how to study scripts, create storyboards, communicate with ideas to costume designers and build scale models of your design.
CONCEPT DEVELOPEMENT
In this course, you will learn how to generate and develop concepts for different design challenges. You will also learn how to present your ideas effectively and persuasively to an audience. This course will boost your creativity, confidence and skills as a designer.
STUDIO TIME FOR GCSE & A-LEVEL STUDENTS
Working on your GCSE or A level Art & Design Tech projects can be challenging when schools are closed and you don't have enough space or equipment at home. That's why we invite you to book studio time with us and use our facilities to create your creative works. Our studio is open to all GCSE and A level Art & Design tech students who want to work in a professional and inspiring environment.
