Create an original character from the first idea
What makes a character instantly recognisable?
Inspired by the dark, theatrical and surreal qualities of Tim Burton’s work, create your own original character and discover how shape, proportion, colour, texture and visual storytelling can bring it to life.
Explore personality, mood and story through drawing exercises, visual research and guided development. Develop your character’s silhouette, facial features, expression, costume and accessories, considering how each design choice communicates who they are.
No previous design experience is needed — just imagination and curiosity.
