Workshop: Portuguese Paper Lantern House Date: 18 February Time:13:30-16:30 Cost: £50 (includes all materials and refreshments) Age: Suitable for high school-aged students Step into the imaginative universe of Portuguese artist Francisco Fonseca and explore how architecture can become storytelling! In this creative, hands-on workshop, young makers will experiment with shape, color, and design as they craft their own 3D paper house. Drawing inspiration from Fonseca’s lively, personality-filled artwork, students will sketch, paint, and construct a playful architectural piece that showcases their unique artistic vision. They’ll also learn techniques for using watercolor and pen to create vibrant, expressive illustrations. Each participant will leave with two take-homes: -Their original, completed design, which they can keep and use to reprint and remake their house anytime. -A finished 3D paper version of their house, made from a copy of their design, ready to display. Perfect for aspiring artists and curious minds, this session blends art, storytelling, and craft — no prior experience needed! By the end, students will have a tangible artwork in their hands and a design they can revisit again and again.

Holiday Workshop Booking Policy 1. Booking & Confirmation - All workshop bookings must be made in advance through our official registration system. - Confirmation of booking is subject to availability and will be provided upon successful payment or registration. 2. Cancellation & Refund Policy - If you need to cancel your child’s place in a holiday workshop, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time. - As our staff and materials are arranged in advance, cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will be non-refundable. - For cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice, we may offer a refund or credit towards a future workshop at our discretion. 3. Attendance & Punctuality - Please ensure your child arrives on time for the workshop, as late arrivals may disrupt the session and impact their experience. - If your child is unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, please notify us as soon as possible. 4. Safety & Supervision - Our workshops are led by trained professionals who ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. - Parents/guardians must provide accurate emergency contact details at the time of booking. 5. Code of Conduct - To maintain a positive atmosphere, we expect all children to behave respectfully toward staff and other participants. - Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the workshop without a refund.
