Introduction to Drawing

This drawing class for students aged 7–10 helps young artists build confidence and learn essential drawing skills in a fun, supportive environment. Through guided lessons and interactive drawing exercises, students will explore core fundamentals such as line, shape, proportion, and composition. They’ll also learn how to draw from imagination, develop observational skills, and transform ideas into expressive artwork on paper. The course is designed to nurture creativity while encouraging artistic confidence in a supportive, structured environment. Whether your child loves drawing animals, characters, fantasy scenes, or landscapes, this class provides a well-rounded foundation to support ongoing artistic development. If you are new to drawing and want to learn how to improve, this class is for you. Our Beginners Drawing Skills Classes will teach you the fundamentals of drawing and help you develop your own style. You'll get to try different drawing tools, such as pencils, pen and ink, pastels, and oil pastels, and learn how to use them effectively and also learn how to create different effects with line types, value, shading, hatching, and drawing composition.
