The Explorer Focus

How do designers learn to see?

At the Explorer stage, students learn the fundamentals of drawing and visual communication, developing the observation and drawing skills that form the foundation of creative design. They explore how line, shape, form, tone, scale and proportion can be used to observe, understand and communicate ideas visually.

DEVELOPER

The Developer Focus

Students tackle increasingly complex interior design challenges, developing their ability to solve spatial and functional problems. They build on their understanding of space and user needs while exploring lighting, zoning, circulation, section drawings, multi-level spaces and commercial interiors.

The Innovator Focus

Students explore how interior designers create original and memorable experiences, moving beyond functional design to consider atmosphere, narrative, emotion and interaction. They develop their own creative voice while exploring innovative approaches to adaptive re-use, immersive environments and future spaces.
