Design Your Own Board Game – Full Day Workshop Date: 4 August Time: 9:30-16:30 Cost: £90 (includes all materials and refreshments, please bring packed lunch) Age: Suitable for students aged 11+ Unleash your creativity in our exciting Design Your Own Board Game Workshop. During this fun and hands-on day, students will learn how great games are created by exploring themes, rules, challenges, and game mechanics before designing and making their very own board game from scratch. Morning Session – Game Design Students will begin by developing their game concept, deciding on a theme, target audience, objectives, and gameplay. They will sketch ideas for their board, create rules, design challenges and rewards, and plan how players will interact with the game. They will also use AI design tools to create professional-looking visual mock-ups and explore how designers develop and present their ideas. Afternoon Session – Game Making In the afternoon, students will bring their designs to life. Using a variety of art and craft materials, they will construct their game board, create playing pieces, cards, tokens, dice elements, packaging, and any additional components needed for gameplay. Once completed, students will test and refine their games by playing them with others and making final improvements. Throughout the day, students will develop creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, and design skills while working in a lively and engaging workshop environment. By the end of the workshop, every participant will take home a fully playable prototype of their board game, along with ideas and inspiration for how they can continue developing it in the future.

Holiday Workshop Booking Policy 1. Booking & Confirmation - All workshop bookings must be made in advance through our official registration system. - Confirmation of booking is subject to availability and will be provided upon successful payment or registration. 2. Cancellation & Refund Policy - If you need to cancel your child’s place in a holiday workshop, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time. - As our staff and materials are arranged in advance, cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will be non-refundable. - For cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice, we may offer a refund or credit towards a future workshop at our discretion. 3. Attendance & Punctuality - Please ensure your child arrives on time for the workshop, as late arrivals may disrupt the session and impact their experience. - If your child is unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, please notify us as soon as possible. 4. Safety & Supervision - Our workshops are led by trained professionals who ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. - Parents/guardians must provide accurate emergency contact details at the time of booking. 5. Code of Conduct - To maintain a positive atmosphere, we expect all children to behave respectfully toward staff and other participants. - Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the workshop without a refund.
