Date: 28 May 2025 Time: 9:30-16:30 (includes a one-hour lunch break) Cost: £90 (includes all materials and refreshments. Lunch not included – please bring a packed lunch.) Age: students aged 11+ with a creative spark and an interest in interior design & architecture Step into the world of interior and spatial design in this exciting full-day workshop. You'll explore two dynamic design challenges: first, dream up your perfect modern loft apartment, then switch gears to create your own themed restaurant concept. From moodboards to layouts, you’ll learn how to think like a designer and bring bold ideas to life. Morning Session: Design Your Own Loft Apartment Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM 1. Learn the Basics of Loft Design -Discover what defines a loft: open plans, high ceilings, natural light, and industrial style -Explore inspiring examples of real loft interiors -Understand how designers approach small or open-plan living 2. Plan Your Own Space -Choose a brief (e.g. creative studio, cosy retreat, live/work space) -Sketch a floorplan with zones for sleeping, cooking, relaxing, and working -Think about flow, comfort, and how your space reflects your lifestyle 3. Create a Loft Moodboard -Choose furniture, colours, lighting, and materials to personalise your apartment -Design a visual board that captures the look and feel of your space Lunch Break: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Afternoon Session: Design Your Dream Restaurant Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM 4. Discover Your Restaurant Concept -Learn what makes a restaurant stand out—theme, ambience, and guest experience -Brainstorm your own unique concept: cuisine, atmosphere, and audience -Think about how design supports branding and mood 5. Create a Restaurant Moodboard -Gather visuals that represent your concept’s style and personality -Play with colour schemes, textures, imagery, and inspiration from real-world spaces 6. Design the Space -Sketch a basic floorplan, including seating, kitchen zones, and key features -Select finishes, furniture, and décor to match your chosen aesthetic 7. Share & Reflect -Present both your loft and restaurant concepts to the group -Explain your design thinking and receive constructive feedback -Reflect on what you learned and how your style evolved What You’ll Learn: -Fundamentals of interior and spatial design -How to create effective moodboards and floorplans -How different elements—layout, materials, lighting—affect user experience -Visual storytelling, creative decision-making

Holiday Workshop Booking Policy 1. Booking & Confirmation - All workshop bookings must be made in advance through our official registration system. - Confirmation of booking is subject to availability and will be provided upon successful payment or registration. 2. Cancellation & Refund Policy - If you need to cancel your child’s place in a holiday workshop, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time. - As our staff and materials are arranged in advance, cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will be non-refundable. - For cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice, we may offer a refund or credit towards a future workshop at our discretion. 3. Attendance & Punctuality - Please ensure your child arrives on time for the workshop, as late arrivals may disrupt the session and impact their experience. - If your child is unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, please notify us as soon as possible. 4. Safety & Supervision - Our workshops are led by trained professionals who ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. - Parents/guardians must provide accurate emergency contact details at the time of booking. 5. Code of Conduct - To maintain a positive atmosphere, we expect all children to behave respectfully toward staff and other participants. - Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the workshop without a refund.
