Workshop: Portuguese House Workshops Full Day Date: 18 February Time:9:30-16:30 Cost: £90 (includes all materials and refreshments) Age: Suitable for high school-aged students Morning Workshop: Illustrated Houses with Pen & Watercolour Inspired by the vibrant illustrations of Portuguese artist Francisco Fonseca, this creative workshop invites 14-year-olds to explore drawing with pen and watercolour. We’ll begin by looking at colourful houses from Portugal, focusing on their playful shapes, textures, and personality. Through guided, step-by-step activities, students will learn how to use loose line work and lively watercolour washes to bring buildings to life. Along the way, they’ll experiment with techniques, develop confidence, and create their own illustrated house inspired by Fonseca’s distinctive style. No prior experience is needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to have fun. Afternoon Workshop: Building Stories Through 3D Paper Houses Step into the imaginative world of Francisco Fonseca and discover how architecture can tell a story. In this hands-on workshop, young artists will explore shape, colour, and design as they create their own 3D paper house. Drawing inspiration from Fonseca’s expressive, character-filled artwork, participants will sketch, paint, and construct a playful architectural piece that reflects their own creative voice. They’ll also learn techniques for combining pen and watercolour to produce bold, vibrant illustrations. Each participant will leave with two take-home creations: -Their original illustrated house design, which can be reused, reprinted, and rebuilt anytime -A finished 3D paper version of their house, made from a copy of their design and ready to display Perfect for aspiring artists and curious minds, this session blends art, storytelling, and hands-on making. No previous experience is required — by the end of the workshop, students will have both a unique artwork and a reusable design they can return to again and again.

Holiday Workshop Booking Policy 1. Booking & Confirmation - All workshop bookings must be made in advance through our official registration system. - Confirmation of booking is subject to availability and will be provided upon successful payment or registration. 2. Cancellation & Refund Policy - If you need to cancel your child’s place in a holiday workshop, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time. - As our staff and materials are arranged in advance, cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will be non-refundable. - For cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice, we may offer a refund or credit towards a future workshop at our discretion. 3. Attendance & Punctuality - Please ensure your child arrives on time for the workshop, as late arrivals may disrupt the session and impact their experience. - If your child is unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, please notify us as soon as possible. 4. Safety & Supervision - Our workshops are led by trained professionals who ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. - Parents/guardians must provide accurate emergency contact details at the time of booking. 5. Code of Conduct - To maintain a positive atmosphere, we expect all children to behave respectfully toward staff and other participants. - Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the workshop without a refund.
