Service Description

Take your characters to the next level by putting them into action! In this follow-on workshop, you’ll learn how to tell compelling stories using images, pacing, and layout — all through the art of the comic strip. Whether you’re continuing with a character you designed earlier, or starting from scratch with a new idea, this session focuses on how to communicate story, emotion, and movement without relying on lots of text. We’ll cover: Visual storytelling – how to use composition, panels, and pacing to guide the reader through your story. Framing and layout – learn how to design dynamic panels that lead the eye and build tension or humour. Body language & expression – show what your characters are feeling and thinking through their actions and reactions. Minimal dialogue – explore how to keep words to a minimum and let the visuals do the talking. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own one-page comic strip, telling a short but powerful story through drawings alone. Perfect for students interested in comics, animation, storyboarding or just telling great stories through art.
